Cats are one of the best animals to have. A cat can brighten your day, make your day happier. But why do they sleep all day?

Cats are predators, they are made to chase and hunt, and this as other animals are doing it at night. Even if they have been domesticated, they still have this wild streak. Your cat is getting tired even if it is hunting pray outside or playing with the toys in the house.

Felines are affected by the weather just like us, depending on their age, breed, and overall health the cat behavior can vary. If it is raining outside your cat will be sleeping more, just like you.

Cats are more active during the 12-hour dawn and dusk. They lay low when other predators may be hanging. Cats might be active at night as well. But cuts just like people are very adaptable and sociable. So cats can change their sleeping habits so they can stay more with their loved ones.

But maybe your cat is not sleeping. Not all the time cats are in deep sleep, sometimes cats just want to take a pause and take a short “cat nap”. It can have his eyes almost closed or completely closed and his ears and tail still be moving from time to time. That means your cat is listening to the environment, so he is ready to go do some action.

Just like you, your cat might be bored. If he doesn’t have what to do, he will sleep more. And sometimes maybe not your cat sleeps too much, maybe you sleep too little.
